Cody is the “Rodeo Capital of the World.” From the turn of the century, rodeos and parades have been part of the Fourth of July here in Cody, Wyoming. Starting officially in 1919, the Cody Stampede rodeo has been held every summer. Cody has not only one of the longest running successful professional rodeos, but also the only place in the country that has a rodeo performance nightly. The Professional Rodeo Cowboy’s Association named the Cody Stampede “Best Large Outdoor Rodeo of the Year” in 1998 and 1999. In 2001 the Cody Nite Rodeo was nominated for “Best Small Outdoor Rodeo of the Year.”
With our two distinct rodeos, the Cody Nite Rodeo every night from June through August, and the Cody Stampede July 1st through July 4th, we continue to make our mark in the rodeo world.
The Cody Buckle Club exists for the community to get involved in rodeo.
Through youth, educational and social events, the Buckle Club is a catalyst for the social, cultural, economic and community benefits of the sport of rodeo in Cody, WY and beyond.
The CBC also serves to support the mission and facilities associated with the Cody Stampede Board.
The main goal of the Cody Buckle Club is to create sound financial support that’s needed for the growth of our rodeo community and western way of life, to ensure that Cody and this region will always be known as “The Rodeo Capital of the World.”
To accomplish this, The Cody Buckle Club invites a limited group of individuals to support the Cody Stampede Rodeo in a new and exciting way.
By becoming a member of the Cody Buckle Club you will have benefits like no other, including premier member-only seating during the Stampede Rodeo, as well as access to member-only social events.
The Cody Buckle Club is a 501©3 Non-profit, therefore approximately 50% of your membership fee is tax deductible (cost of goods received minus membership fee).
The funds generated from the Cody Buckle Club will be used to support facility upgrades at the Stampede Rodeo Grounds, youth rodeo competitions and schools, various equine and agricultural programs and college scholarships available to youth across the Big Horn Basin.
